It reminds me of the story of the small town bank robbers. Held up the town's only bank, emptied the safe - making a small fortune.

A few hours later - guess who turns up to open an account!

One of my favourites is the Darwin award who tried an armed robbery in a gun shop, having walked past the police car parked outside.
