"I don't think that most people feel pleasure on a regular basis. On a scale that ranges from deep depression to rip-roaring fun, I'd guess most people idle between 'not upset' and 'not too upset'."*

So, who's for some rip-roaring fun?

Going to the seaside on Saturday made me realise that I want to get out and about more: so would anyone be interested in a day out, say to the seaside or a theme park, one weekend in the next month or two? Get a gang togther and go and have a high old time?

Just at the speculative stage at the moment - but talk to me, people.

*The sun is out and I'm quoting Dave Lee Roth. This could spell trouble.

Thorpe park was rather funky last time I was there.

Do you have any idea what you are planning? As long as it doesnt involve snapping each other with wet towels it could be kinda fun.

Are you looking for suggestions or do you have something in mind?

Goodness knows it's been long enough since I've done anything of the sort so I'd be interested. Theme park sounds good to me but there's aproblem of summer, weekend, hordes of children :-/

Yes, I know. Personally I'd be happy with just a day by the seaside. I really like Brighton, but so does everyone else so the beach would be rammed (although it was v. pleasant on Saturday). I'm open to suggestions.

I'm open to suggestions. I like Brighton, but I'm reliably informed that there is more to life than that.

Brighton sounds good - but it does defeat the object if it is heaving with people.

I have never visited there though when I asked my father about the place some time back he did indicate it was filled with wastrels and lay-abouts - So it sounds perfect.

Since your probably looking for suggestions in the south of england, I dont really have a clue! However I can get 20% off tickets at Thorpe Park via work - but on peak days you are still looking at 21.50 a shot.

Or if you are feeling really adventurous I can get rooms in the Sunset Beach hotel in Jamaica for £35 a night?
