I really have only one great unfulfilled ambition left in the Cam: a musical number at a game. In the spirit of the great shows and musicals of yesteryear when suddenly a section of the cast, apropos of nothing, bursts into song.

Don't tell the ST it's coming, just do it.

Would anyone else be up for this? Being able to sing would be a plus.

Now that is a worthy objective for the YoF

I'd rejoin the Cam just for such an opportunity! I was a little disappointed when the Cambridge Domain failed to sing an Erasure song at the end of Court. I should of used that Malkavian Dementation again with a hefty dose of Domination!

Fantastic idea. What shall we sing??

I'm trying to think of a good musical number for all the voices. Bring all the singers out of the closet. I know a few Tenors in Glasgow, and I'm alto.

Wow such a fantastic idea, in fact I have flute music for a lot of show tunes if you want a triger for people who are joining in!!

Takes me back to my 'Song of Serenity' using days when people would relent rather than hear me sing.

OK, I'm up for this with one provisio; Under no circumstances is the phrase "The Tractor Song" to be associated with this.

singing? I'm not particularly good, but muddled through a few stints in the chorus of musicals.

*grin* I'm up for it! : )

Btw, as it's not strictly speaking 'spotaneous' you may want to check up licensing with the venue (anal I know, but better than the pub getting fined).

I can just see them rounding off the ICC with Caine leading a chorus of "Send in the clowns".

Us two, singing with no performance, with Majesty raised, and afterwards never speaking of it, nor acknowledging it ever happened...

Would have been great!

Yeah... Stupid 3rd Edition. They must've heard me sing.

Well, I'd pitch in and help, too. Unfortunately I've been formally banned from singing in public, and I'm on the "other side of the pond", so to speak.

If we get to do this, I might be tempted to a repise if I make it over to SERE: after all, I did light opera at the brujah drinking song contest at the ICC in 2000...

Too bad I only make enough for one 'con a year. Due to distance from home and whatnot, that normally ends up being SugoiCon in Cincinnati, OH... I would go to Origins as well, but I can never get any time off of work around the 4th of July.

And what in the world were the Brujah doing with a drinking song contest? I would think the Gangrel would be much more inclined to that kind of thing... I always fancied Brujah as being either leather-clad bikers who stayed to themselves or Italian Mobster types, and Gangrel as more of the Irish / British Pub-types. Then again, this is a "New World" player. I'm sure the clans vary a decent bit over there.

heavens knows why they were doing it, but my FoS joined in to see what happened. And got a polite round of applause after I completed a short medley from The Student Prince.
