A little over a year ago, I introduced the inaugural [livejournal.com profile] davywavy Livejournal awards. Awarded to people who’s LJ’s I like. Or dislike. Or just wanted to talk about for no apparent reason. The awards were a massive success with a hugely popular ceremony and dinner attended by many of the great and good and a global television audience of billions. Naturally the immense advertising revenues meant that I fancied another go at this, and so, without further ado, might I announce the 2004 [livejournal.com profile] davywavy Livejournal awards.

There are only five rules for the awards, these being:
1) Friends only journals are ineligible
2) Previous winners are ineligible to win again.
3) I can ignore the above rules and give awards to anyone I like if I feel like it.
4) Winners are obligated to buy me a drink.
5) No more than three winners to any one award.

Category 1
The “Wom Wom Wom enormous pulsating brain” award for cleverest poster.

Shared jointly by:
[livejournal.com profile] cryx, whose enormous pulsating brain inspired the phrase ‘Wom Wom Wom’ in the first place.
[livejournal.com profile] stickette, who just writes all clever, like.
[livejournal.com profile] puddingcat, who one of these days will believe me when I tell her how clever she is.

[Edit]:This just in...*cough, wheeze*...bear with me ladies and gentlemen, stop the presses...the academy has awarded [livejournal.com profile] sesquipedality a special award for 'extreme cleverness' in this category. We apologise for this important break in your regular viewing.

Nothing like a little spirited debate to brighten my day. *grins* You do know I only _have_ an LJ to comment-whore with? It means I have something to do at work, at least...

So... what do you drink, and are you coming to our house re-heating? (this is, of course, an open invitation which includes you and anyone else you feel like dragging along... :P)

*blinks* Nooo, it doesn't...

I know this, because Eddie and Michelle are staying at ours the week after, on the first weekend of their visit to the UK...

Or am I wrong?

It iiiiisss the 18th... *frowns thoughtfully* Then again, they may not be coming to London first. I know Rik can't make it that weekend for reasons that do not occur to me, but he will be bringing his pets to our house the weekend _after_, of the 25th... Which is when we will be overwhelmed by the transatlantic many.

I'm'a gonna go check now. *bemused*
