Institutionally what?
Jun. 29th, 2002 10:44 amI note thatthe Director of Public Prosecutions has stated that the police are 'institutionally rascist'. One of the major things that has lead him to this conclusion is that more coloured people are arrested than whites, in terms of their relative proportions of population.
In that case, what about the institutional sexism of the police? After all, they arrest *far* more men than women. To even things up, they should obviously arrest more chicks because at the moment they're obviously picking on us poor men, the sexist bastards.
Or could it be that they're simply responding to statistics?
And if that's the case, where does that leave the racism charge?
