Lights On, Nobody Home
Jul. 10th, 2002 11:06 amWhat wit hone thing and another, I'm finding it nigh-impossible to do any writing at the moment. This isn't to do with lack of time, but more to do with an abject lack of creativity in myself, which is frustrating, to say the least. I stare at the screen feeling dispirited until finally I give up in defeat and go and try and sort out the Carthaginians instead.
Normally I can write with such facility, and it just seems to have deserted me, probably as a result of being so caught up in self-pity and frustration with work.
The way it's looking, I'm going to have to cancel the playtest of Garou of the Baskervilles and just run it at GenCon untested, as there's no way it's going to get finished before then - all my weekends are tied up between now and then with...well stuff ... and so the only time I have to write is evenings - and that's when I feel least able to do any.
Gods, the days when I could write 5-8000 words in a single sitting seem to be long gone.
