Start me up
Aug. 23rd, 2007 09:43 amI'm off to see the Rolling Stones on Sunday. My life is an endless round of sybaritic rock excess and no mistake.
Thirty years ago, the Stones got themselves headlines by mucking about with Mars bars; now they can cause furore just by smoking. How the world has changed. Apparently Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards both smoked on stage in defiance of the recent smoking ban at their gig on Tueday, leading to an incredibly stupid spokesperson for Greenwich council to announce that they might face a fine unless 'they could prove that smoking is an integral part of their act'.
Keith Richards. Smoking. Integral part of the act.
Where do they find these imbeciles?
