Great conversations of our time.
Dec. 16th, 2010 09:51 amHer: Oh, David, have you got any ideas?
Me: Lots, why?
Her: We're putting together a campaign to educate older people about the benefits of exercise, and to encourage them to be more active for the good of their health.
Me: Oh, okay...um. How about a bunch of old people in sporting gear playing dodgeball...with death throwing balls at them! And the caption could be 'If you can dodge a ball, you can dodge a coffin'?
Her: No! Nothing like that! We're really only after a slogan.
Me: Okay, how about "Age: Don't die of indolence."
Her: What?!
Me: You must admit, it's got a catchy ring to it.
Her: I'm never going to ask you for help again.
