Every year at about this time, Forbes, the magazine about moneytm publishes their annual list of the richest people in the world. I'm sure that you'll expect Bill Gates and the Sultan of Brunei to make an appearence, but there are some perhaps less expected names. I'm sure Potterites amongst you will be delighted to learn that popular philathropist Lucius Malfoy has entered the list at number 15 and my personal heroes C. Montgomery Burns and Ebenezer Scrooge make it in at numbers 8 and 12 respectively. However, since time immemorial, the richest man in the world has to have been Jolly Old Santa Claus, thus disproving [livejournal.com profile] tooth_fairy's assertion that you can't be both ethical and rich.

Actually as Forbes point out, Santa's wealth is built upon ruthless exploitation of Elves ("immortals don't need wages")- which amonts to slavery.
And as EVERYONE knows- the moments you enter salvery into any marketplace you are gonna make a FORTUNE!
Look at Rome.
Tooth _fairy is correct.
ALL this has done is show that when it comes to exploiting and manipulating children, Disney have MUCH they can learn off Jolly Old Kris Kringle!

You obviously don't play D&D...

Wizards are well known to live long and age slow. A side-effect of channeling the forces of creation through one's body.

Nope, I don't do anything game related. I do, however, get to hear *all* about it from the people I live with...

Well even at that age he still remains very do-able.

Tough call. She used to be a hottie.

The problem is, she doesn't take very good care of herself (not that I'm much better) and comes across as a rather unpersonable sort.
