VNV Nation were very good - fat Ronan seems to have got over his tendency to monologue between songs meaning that we now get - shock! - several track played in succcession without a break. Given that he's so good at working a crowd and his weakness in the past has been in getting everyone going and then killing it again by chatting, this is a definite improvement.

In other news, it's that time of year when I start thinking about my annual bit of Christmas Poetry - if you want me to write you in (or if you're Monty, if you want me not to mention you for once), now is the time to let me know.*

Well I'm glad Ronan stfu for you... he sure as f*** didn't for us. Every f***ing song was interjected by drivel.

I think the only time we had two songs back to back was during the encore when he was clearly too f***ing cream crackered to talk.

The tunes were good - but by the end of the 3rd encore I was just wishing they'd f*** off already and let us go to the aftershow... then they 'played' their 4th encore which did just involve them standing at their computers pretending to mix.

I won't be going to see them again in a hurry... at least not sober anyway!

Oh, and Ronan, if you're reading this - I paid to hear you sing, not the rest of the audience - keep hold of the god damn mike and sing into the f***ing thing like what I'm paying you for you fat f***.

Ronan is a funny and likable chap, so I don't object to the blather so much - it is, however, preferable when he doesn't blather between every song. I've never seen any live act where there wasn't a certain amount of audience participation/monologuing from the lead. He just has a tendency to overdo it.

Oh I didn't object to all the chatter - but it was between every song. However I really do go to listen to him sing and not the audience, so I'd rather he just kept the mic to himself.

Admittedly possibly the funniest part was where he was heckling a pair of young lovers down the front - he even offered to pay for a room for them ;o)
