Gosh, these high-falutin' circles...
A friend of mine is pals with the conference manager at the Dorchester on Park Lane, which is rather convenient to say the least when we fancy a drink in a jolly nice place. I went to have a look round the place last night and have a drink in the Piano Bar (very nice, '30s ambience, Liberace's Piano in the corner being quietly tinkled) where I sat at the next table to John Cleese.
They're kinda strict on discretion there and so I didn't scream "Oh My Gahd! It's Jah-yunn Ker-leese! I just loved you in Harry Potter!" at the top of my voice, and so the world was spared another demonstration of my pathetic fanboy nature as last evidenced when I met Dwight Schultz. You see, they throw you out if you disturb another guest - even just asking for an autograph is enough to be quietly escorted from the premises...
However, I found out that the Dorchester Ballroom (one of the very nicest places in london, for my money) costs a mere £5000 a night to hire, and my mind turned inevitably to ICC bids.
God, I'm such a sad Cammie at times.

I think that'll even be too much for ICC. Especially as you'd need additional rooms as well.
Not to mention room costs (300 quid - that's almost 400 dollars for a single per night, I don't think so).
Nice location, though.
Are you sure it was John Cleese? He was at the James Bond premiere, I thought.
