Busily researching for Garou of the Baskervilles, tonight I have researched the nazi heavy water project, Peenemunde, the Hitler Youth, Mein Kampf, Einstein, Enrico fermi, Anna Sewell, Bletchley Park, Jeannie Rousseau, SOE, Honore de Balzac, and the Torgau Concentration Camp.

I really love this.
I've had a great weekend... the hilarious surrealality of Ozzy Osbourne playing for the Queen, and I love this time of year, especially when I get out of London - I forget how beautiful the countryside is. I was watching the Kingfisher on the pond in the field behind my parents farm this afternoon.

Sigh. Work tomorrow. Every silver lining has a cloud.

At heart i'm a country boy, not keen on big-city living...

And tomorrow is, indeed, work... Oh well - i'm the only one in :)

Repeat after me:

Jimi Hendrix doing the Star-Spangled Banner = Cool.

Brian May doing God Save the Queen = Oh dear.

BTW, a great 'slanty' guide to Peenemunde can be found in the Thomas Pynchon book Gravity's Rainbow. Even if it's not relevant, read it anyway - it rocks.
