My boss lives in a house without main sewer access, and so he has a cesspit, which he has to get emptied periodically. He's on the phone right now to the company does that, arranging for someone to come and empty 4000 gallons from it this weekend.

All I can say is; that must have been one hell of a curry.

So do my parents (we live outside of town). While we have communal gas and water, the sewer still needs to be set up. As the new street will most likely never be built, we will still have our cesspit.
I think it needs to be emptied about once or twice a year with three people using the facilities.

It doesn't even bear thinking about, does it. At least we can hope Granny didn't swallow the car keys by mistake, and he wants them back.
