Giving up booze for lent (again) is proving decidedly easy. I'll drink for other peoples parties and so on as sitting prune-faced and passing out leaflets warning of the dangers of the demon drink is hardly sociable, but aside from that nary a drop has passed my lips.
So, to up the challenge, I've given up chocolate as well. You may be surprised how much harder this has been...
Oh, how those saucy Boost Bars taunt me. Gaggles of King Size Mars Bars hang out on street corners offering themselves to me for only a small sum of cash, and that box of Thorntons Chocolate Coated Gingers is dressed provocatively - no court in the land would convict me.

However, thus far willpower seems to be winning out. Willpower and honey coated Cashew nuts, anyway. Gods, they're the food of satan so they are. Not only are they so, so gorgeous, they have led me to the discovery that a cashew nut split in half makes a handy pair of inpromptu vampire fangs when wedged under the top lip.

Next year I'm going to really challenge myself by giving up Alcohol, Chocolate and First-Person-Shooters. Now that's really going to be difficult.

*UPDATE*
I have now eaten two bags of honey coated cashews and I feel remarkably unwell. I think I may have cured my addiction.
