The offices of Wade international are directly opposite Stevenage Fire Station, and looking out of my window we have half-a-dozen burly firemen wearing nothing but their shorts performing strenuous physcial exercises in their forecourt.

Just thought I'd share that with you.

Do you have any jobs going. A serious question irrespective of firemen.

No, I don't, sorry. We have no money for anything other than day-to-day at the moment.
And I was sexist in my initial heading. I forgot my whoopsie chums who might like watching semi-clad firemen as well :)

can you supply photo evidence?

I'm NOT taking photos of half-clad firemen for anybody. It wouldn't be manly :)

that's not fair then - taunting me with imaginary images.

On the plus side in my imagination they can all look like Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas...ahem

But, but, it would be artistic, and showing your artistic manly side to the world. Yeah, that's it.

So....let me get this strainght. I show my manly side by taking artistic photos of sweaty, muscled men.

Ah, it's to show I'm comfortable with my sexuality, okay...

Yes, and also your sensitive artistic side, which drives women wild.

one of my friends once ran into the firefighters (who double as EMTs) who'd taken her to the hospital a few weeks earlier (and who'd stripped her out of her swimsuit). she couldn't decide if she should say hi or thank you or something.

So... you randomly discover nearly-naked firemen, while I randomly find the LJs of "adult" models. Ever think we have each other's lives?

I have to wonder if this is a wheel of karma thing for my encounter with nearly naked women a week or so ago.

When I was 19 and a student nurse, I used to relish someone burning their toast so the fire brigade would get called out to the Nurse's Home. Hanging around outside, barely clad from the bath while burley fire men charged around was thrilling.

Then came motherhood and the necessity to read Fireman Sam to my toddlers. I remember one big book which labelled every part of a Fire Engine. One time while out shopping with the boys, a store alarm went off and 3 Fire Engines arrived.

I realised some time later that I had spent 1/2 hour pointing out all the parts of a fire engine to the boys and had not once looked to see if there were any gorgeous blokes attending. I decided there and then that life had passed me by and I had better satisfy myself with Mills and Boon in future!
