Big weekend out (redux)

I've mentioned before the idea of a bunch of us going up to Manchester next weekend; originally, cryx, zenmeisterin, and vervain_ said they'd be interested but I haven't moved the idea on any up until now. Just wondering who might still be interested? head up to manchester on Saturday, get a hotel, maybe go to afflecks, go to Jillys on Saturday night and so on. Hopefulyl get some of the manchester people (puddingcat, boog, vulgarcriminal, ginger_jamie and so on) out as well.

Costs would be something like £50-60 for the train and maybe another £40-50 for a hotel (I'd suggest getting twin rooms or even suites at The Palace - a suite will sleep 3 for £145, which isn't awfully expensive when split, although it might people some people have to share a bed).

So. Anyone?

Manchester does indeed have cheapo hotels, I just have ideas above my station :)

I hadn't considered the driving option, but that might be fun - although I didn't have my driving license here and so I couldn't hire the vehicle. I'll probably have to shoot off and do stuff with puddingcat on Sunday, and so I wasn't wanting to tie anyone down to my timetable.
