Voltaire refuted

"I disagree with what you are saying, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it."

I've thought about it, and having used the 'random' button on LJ from time to time I have to say I no longer agree with this statement without reservation.
If someone asked me to fight to the death to protect the right of illiterate midwestern 15 year olds to post about their day at the mall and how mom sucks on the internet, I'd laugh in their face.

I mean, Voltaire was right in general but I think you can take a good idea too far.

i dont claim to write ANYTHING of real relevance and interest on my LJ. i count on the fact that people have a screening device in regard to this.
