Fame, I wanna live forever.
May. 4th, 2006 11:01 amMonarchs throughout history have been accorded honorifics, sometimes posthumously, sometimes not, to reflect their acheivements in life. So we have Richard the Lion-Hearted, Catherine the Great, or Erik Bloodaxe. If I were a Monarch, I've always hoped that an honorific like "David the Magnificent", "David the Wise" or possibly "Black David the Terrible" might be added to my name to indicate my glorious rule.
Sadly I suspect that I'd end up as "David the Surly" or somesuch.
But that's my question to you lot: if you were a Monarch, what would your honorific be? And why?
