The price is right.
Jul. 10th, 2008 09:25 amWhat with economic slowdowns, credit crunches and negative equity, a lot of people are suddently feeling poorer. Several of my friends have taken second jobs like bar work to make ends meet and people seem to be going out less. The question is, just how short of cash are people feeling?
This question was brought home to me a while ago when I had an interesting experience in a public lavatory*.
No, not that. YOu have a filthy mind.
You see, there I was, minding my own business (as it were) when I noticed there was a coin in the bottom of the lavatory bowl and that got me thinking. Assuming that the water in the bowl was clean, how much would the coin have to be worth to put my hand in and retrieve it?
And I'll ask the same question of you, dear reader. How low would you go?

*I bet you never expected to hear me say that**
**Except regarding the incident of the 'rubber-clad fairy', with me,
ukmonty and
colonel_maxim in a public toilet, but that's a story for another day.
