[Comedy Politics]
Jul. 8th, 2008 11:05 amToday, I was going to post something jokey, a bit humourous, a touch of levity for the day. However, there are times when events overtake me an are more comical than I could ever manage. Prime Minister Gordon Brown has urged people to 'stop wasting food' in an effort to reduce social and environmental costs.
In the light of the fact that the former Deputy Prime Minister just spent the last ten years gorging himself and then throwing up, I found the inherent ridiculousness of this suggestion to be so funny that I laughed hard enough to give myself a nosebleed.
Indeed, there are some things you just can't satirise.
