Women in science
Mar. 25th, 2010 09:50 amI missed it because I was quite busy, but yesterday was Ada Lovelace Day - a commemorative event to celebrate women in science and to find female role models for our future lady scientists. That sounded like a good idea to me, so I set about finding photographs of a few of my favourite women in science.
We've got Evil Robot Maria in Fritz Lang's Metropolis:

Elsa Lanchester in The Bride of Frankenstein:

The Femputer out of Futurama:

And, of course, Emma Peel out of The Avengers. Who is a chemist, you know, and this isn't just a cheap excuse to post a picture of her. Phwoar:

So there we have it. Women in science. Ding-dong!
