I'd be much more inclined to support things like this if the organisers weren't such wankers. That said, I suppose the point of it is to allow wankers to have their say just as much as anyone else, so I'll probably go along.
I'll just wear a T-Shirt reading "I'm not with Stupid", and arrows pointing in all directions.

I mean, I ask you: This is also a celebration of freedom and free expression, so let's enjoy it. Jugglers, clowns, unicyclists will be welcomed.
Not by me, they bloody won't.

Anyone else coming?

I was thinking of "I'm not with these losers!"

I hereby propose David's first law of political engagement: The influence of your political movement is inversely proportional to the number of jugglers, friendship bracelets and enourmous felt jester hats amongst your membership.

I think the stop the war idea is rather past its sell-by date, rather like someone waving an 'Appease Hitler Now!' banner in 1948. I'd rather get involved in political movements whilst they're current.

Neither Germany nor Japan became stable democracies overnight afetr they'd been conquered. To pull out western support now, after removing the former authority and before a new stable one is in place, would be a shocking abrogation of responsibility.

That's far too sensible. We should just pull out and leave the little Iraqis to it. Our democratic hegemony has got to stop now!

we should never have gone in the first place...anyway

tis also about Iran and nuclear stuff. All that wanting to spend 25billion on new nuclear weapons.

Yeah, screw that - that's pull out and let the brown fuzzy people kill each other. They don't matter anyway.

I was responding to the first - and by inference the most important - item on the list.

Stupid Marshall Plan. Should have never come into place. I liked it better when you could just invade brown people and not even bother with giving antibiotics for syphillis.

What, they're protesting the UN's protestations against Iran?

Fuck me I'm confused. No one's even declared war on them yet. Is it just that there aren't any good home grown causes or that the bloated babies of Africa aren't cute anymore?

Why doesn't the US produce people like Eisenhauer, Roosevelt and MacArthur any more?

It does, we're all just stuck in IT jobs because we don't want to whiten our teeth or go hunting with Dick.

I think they are pre-empting.

In truth I imagine that CND's priority (as that is who gave me the info) is the nuclear weapons...they are probably throwing more stuff in there to get a bigger crowd

I am organising a protest.
Two actually.

The first is to protest the protest against the UN's protests towards Iran.

The second is to protest the amount of silly protests taking place.

I'm not sure these people understand that Iran is full of MANIACS.

And not only is it full of them it's run by maniacs.

Tony Blair might be bad but he's not nearly as terrifying as who makes Iran go.

I'll come to the second protest. Can we have jugglers?

Wades First Law of Political Engagement states:
The influence of your political movement is inversely proportional to the number of jugglers, didgeriedoos, friendship bracelets and enourmous felt jester hats amongst your membership.

Torley's First Qualification of Wades First Law of Political Engagement:
Those without said items also suffer similar inverse political movement by orginating/utilising organisations based within a) Student Unions b) Student Unions and c) Student Unions.
