Well, it's that time when a jolly, red-faced man in a loud suit does his one day of work for the year.
That's right, [livejournal.com profile] ukmonty has gone into the office.*

It's noticable that a lot of the shops have started their Christmas sales early this year in an attempt to forestall the predicted shortfall in consumer spending. Unfortunately, only the crap that nobody was buying anyway is actually on sale so there aren't that many actual bargains to be had, unless you're in the market for tat.
However, in the spirit of the Christmas sales, lets look at which toys and games are the least popular this year:

JengaCats: Based on the kids cartoon, join Lion-o, Panthro, Cheetera and the rest as they shout their catchphrase JengaCats Ho! before falling over in an untidy heap.

Nahtzee!: Perennially unpopular family game in which everyone rolls dice to see who gets to annex the Sudetenland.

Pseudo: Exciting murder-mystery game in which players get to comment on the semiotics of the nihilism of the murder of Doctor Black, and its cultural implications within the Nietzschean paradigm.

Scousetrap: Can you build and activate the complex trap in time to stop the scally escaping with your television set? Fun for all the family.

Fraction Man: Give your children the thrills and excitement of quadratic equations with this maths-teacher doll. Comes complete with 'eagle-eye action', which allows him to see only his favourite pupils in a class of thirty. Accessories include a pipe, a jacket with patches sewn on the elbows, and a Citroen 2CV.

*Ah, the old jokes are the best.

And I would add I am often in my office, overlooking the Thames and enjoying the view from on high across the great metropolis that is our capital city.

But, and the record will attest to this, I have spent most of my life choosing things that in retrospect I most certainly didn't deserve!
