So Ian McKellen would obviously be there, but will they use Ian Holm for the younger Bilbo?

And what the hell of any interest happens between the Hobbit and LOTR?

I'm guessing it will be a White Council V. The Necromancer movie, as alluded to in the Hobbit.

They'll need lots of tall people to play the dwarves - which is kinda weird.

To get the dwarves seem appropriately taller than the hobbits, they tended to use quite tall people to play them, John Rhys-Davies towers over the Hobbit actors, so when the various techniques for shrinking them are applied in the camera or post-production, then they can use the same set on the Dwarf and the hobbit actors.

God damn it. I mean, I'm excited, but the formerly fat man really has no sense of ass numbness.

At least Peter Jackson is just the producer :/

All be ready for 2010 allegedly.

Bloody hell, why am I even conceptualising that date?

Well, fingers crossed Peter Jackson can get back to his claim to "make great movies that are in the true spirit of Tolkein" more than the 33% success he achieved on that promise with LOTR trilogy.

You didn't like? I thought they were all great to a greater or lesser extent - I think Two Towers is the film I've seen at the cinema most often (except the original Star Wars trilogy, naturally).
