[Gaming] Gencon 2008

davywavyI've been contacted by GenConUK to start talking about whether or not I'll run some games at the convention (Weekend of the 30th August at Reading University). This is a potentially good sign, because last year they didn't bother getting in touch until 3 weeks before the con and then acted surprised when I said I didn't have time to write anything.
I've got a fair few reservations about GC - after the complete washout that was 2005 I haven't seriously considered going back, but I'm not an unreasonable man and I'll always listen to suggestions. I've sent over a list of 'what I'd like to see' stuff to GC, but a major consideration when organising games is whether I'd get any players. I could certainly write some stuff. I could dust off and polish The League of Ornery Gentlemen, or finally write Innsmouth Vice or Reginald Jeeves and the Lost Ark.
So, a question to you lot, many of whom have played in my games in the past - if I dragged my shapely booty out of retirement and wrote some stuff, would you come to GenCon and play?

I don't "do" RP or gaming really, and I think Umlaut (sorry can't spell) is still being developed a bit. Rich'll be well chuffed to find that folks are enjoying it. The other half plays it with him a lot under the guise of "playtesting"

Date: 2008-01-16 01:07 pm (UTC)Having said that, I think we should get together and game sometime, you should drag yourself down to Concrete Cow here in MK next time its on, its a really cool 1 day con with 2-3 games played and some real interesting stuff going on - more tabletop than live, but indie games tend to blur the line alot.
