Well, he's quite right.

It's going to pull us all into an alternate universe which is remarkably similar to this one. Only with more blimps.

Or one where men wear eye liner and women go round in groups in pubs getting loudly drunk.

Oh. Hang on....

I don't see what people have against drunk girls. They're my favourite sort.

I [mis]read this as "they're my favourite sport."

Which works just as well, I suppose.

Best university professor ever. Kind of like the Frank Burnside of science.

He's probably a yorkshireman, gone to educate the pig-ignorant natives on the wrong side of the pennines.

Death threats? Really? With all the stuff we're doing to the planet this is what these people are worried about? Worst case scenario it does go BOOM (or possibly MOOB), we'll all be dead in an instant and won't notice anyway!

I think the problem is that people are confusing "large hadron collider" with "large hadrosaur". Much like when they duffed up that pedalo on suspicion of fiddling with their kids.

Also, PROFESSOR BRIAN COX? A.k.a. HANNIBAL LECTER? They GAVE HIM ACCESS TO A LARGE HADRON COLLIDER?!

I think for everyone's confidence, we should double-check there are or were, no Frankensteins involved with this experiment. It is in Switzerland after all. ;-)

You have done this one already

I am concerned that the world's media has only caught on to this several months after you informed us of the possibility of the World's demise. Damn you Sir, you have lured us into a false sense of safety by suggesting that we were all going to die several months before we WERE all going to die...or not
