I wrote this a few years ago, but thought of some new lyrics over the weekend and thought I'd repost.

He was a boy
She was a girl
He couldn’t have been any more obvious
He played Everquest
And stared at her breasts
What more can I say?
He wanted her
She'd never tell
Secretly she couldn’t stand his smell
All of his friends
Stared at her too
Beyond that they didn’t know what to do

He was a gamer boy
She said you’re a lamer boy
He wasn't good enough for her.
She had a pretty face
He had a massive waist
He needed to work upon his girth.

Ten years from now
He sits at home
Playing an eightieth level Gnome
He’s really fat
And grown a beard
Even his best friends they say he’s weird
He walks down the street
Guess who he sees
She’s a professor at MIT
He asks her out
She isn’t moved
His personal hygiene has not improved
He tags along, follows her home.
She calls security to have him removed.

He was a gamer boy

He wasn't good enough for her.
Now he's a roleplayer
He doesn't have a prayer
To show pretty face what he's worth.

Lucky girl but you missed out
On a gamer who is really stout

And then spend it on D&D

She turned down the gamer boy

I did - quite seriously - consider doing it as a karaoke session at GenCon when I wrote it about 5 years ago, but I decided that being actively rude about my target market wouldn't be good for buisiness

That's me...a gamer girl, head over heels for her PS2 and only just conquering a World of Warcrack addiction, not at all over her 'thing' for gamer boys, which is why that song is funny.:)
