I shan't be able to make his funeral on Friday.

Talking to ukmonty and colonel_maxim and motorpickle on Saturday night, the idea was mooted of running some sort of memorial game for John; he was involved in a fair amount of what I wrote so I thought it might be a nice idea.

Thinking about it, I'd be up for doing something, so how about this as a suggestion: I dust off one of my old games - Orient Express, or Mars of Bust! or Jeeves and the Lost Ark and re-run it. Everyone pays a tenner in, and all proceeds to the British Heart Foundation (which is apparently his family's nominated charity).

Does this sound like a good idea? I'm never sure about this sort of thing.

Sounds like a great idea, many people knew john largely through roleplaying so it sounds like a great way to remember him and give to a good cause.

When Ian died the Stafford lot did a memorial game and it was a really nice thing to do, it felt right and I think he would have liked it. It's a very good idea.

The Jeeves game was excellent. I've not played in the others but that was fab :)
