Apparently Gordon Brown is trying to get a job with the International Monetary Fund. Putting Brown in charge of Global finances - why, that'd make as much sense as making a man who declared war on Iraq a peace envoy to the Middle East!

Oh, hang on.

Id keep him around for financial advise. If he didn't make sense, just do the opposite of what he's suggesting. I mean when he makes sense he's quite good. Then he shifted into conflicted capitalist socialist in a not state driven Economy and it all goes wrong for him.

The news tonight suggested Greece was may be modelling it's ecconomy on brizil or china, where state capitalism, was thriving as opposed to free marketcapitalism... I'm sure there is a place for brown somewhere. Let's hope it's not near too much UK money?

Okay, so begins the next state capitalism bubble.

I give China a 50% change of going horrifically tits up within the next few years.

I don't think I want to take that bet.

China - the market has collapsed - I can't afford too much more of there getting more expensive stuff. I mean its almost like they are thinking about paying their employees right? Plus, the media also said, that as the employees work out that they can get wages, they are starting to strike... which sounds like time to send the tanks in. Or something? I don't know how the chinese rulership thinks these days.

The problem that the Chinese are going to face is that they've created a monied middle class, and the thing about monied middle classes is they think they should have a say in how things are run. The Party will disagree.

Only just read this one. Not quite got why the Chinese economy should go tits up, as I understand it the idea is to permit anybody who wants to to make some money, but to make them keep it in the Country. How do we convince the Chinese middle calss that this is bad?

China simply takes control of any TPLAC by bribing El Presidente to give them their mineral resources, if there is a realistic chance of a change of Government there is no ideological problem in shifting support.

Anybody who fancies sitting on the Dragon Throne can always join the Party. How is a monied middle class going to change this?

I think the only way we managed to break China in the past was to force it to allow us to turn their people into junkies and I don't think we have enough Carriers anymore.

They don't even go in for castration as a career option these days and, without foot binding, I can't see us persuading the Feminists to abandon Islam as the hate of the moment.
