I don't know about you, but the EU extending it's ban of short selling of stocks has totally convinced me that that Eurozone is stable and all the problems are solved just like van Rumpuy told us the other week.

Wait, has there been some sort of dramatic new development? Because what I know of is four eurozone countries -- Italy, France, Spain and Belgium -- having done this. (Still stupid of them, but clearly not a case of "the EU" doing pretty much anything.)

Also, I clearly can't post comments without making a trillion edits on them anymore.

Agreed. The EU has no powers to ban short selling by executive order, and has not done so (or attempted to do so).
