Doing a quick read-through of my posts & replies to people over the last few weeks, it's noticable that the overriding impression that I get of myself is one of irritation - namely that I seem to be snapping at people very peevishly for very little provocation.
Thinking about it, this is probably because of real life stuff - the absurd working hours I'm doing. Take today for example: out of the house at 6:55 Am, home for 7:45 Pm - and that's a good day.
Environment affects us greatly, and so next time I'm chippy at you online, just nod sagely and say to yourself - "Hmmn, David's just had a two hour train ride, followed by another meeting with his boss to discuss just how working more for less money qualifies as a market rate pay deal." It will explain a lot, believe me.
People thus far chipped at or generally belittled for little reason include:
raggedhalo,
applez,
nebuchanezzer, and
marlowe1, and that's off the top of my head. Consider yourselves approriately apologised to. Same to anyone I've missed.
NB: Note to
raggedhalo: just because I'm currently getting the sort end of the capitalism stick doesn't mean I think it isn't a better system than any of the ones you approve of.

I maintain that the system is fundamentally flawed though.

But, yeah. That's actually my life...
*grin*

a) that "you're back!" (and they seem to say this is a somewhat shocked fashion, it's as if they didn't expect me to return from Europe. Who knows? They may be right, ultimately).
b) that "I'm still smiling" ... hey, maybe the holiday-with-friends-and-family-endorphins haven't worn off yet. :-)
