I'd say I'd never be able to watch this now without being disappointed that they weren't all animated dogs, but there's a good chance that I'd have thought that anyway. It's like how I can't watch the 1993 Disney movie without expecting Cardinal Richelieu to strip down to a corset and high heels to perform a song and a dance routine (which is even weirder because it's only that movie I have such an expectation with, not any of the many, many other things Tim Curry has starred in).
The sad ting about The Musketeers is that it's got great production values - they've clearly lobbed money at it and it looks wonderful - but then they've spent about eight minutes on the script.
