Just broke a personal rule & metagamed slightly to get some plot & IC interaction. I'm feeling a bit disappointed in myself, but I just want somehting to do at the moment, and this sounds like as good a thing as anything...

What I did: knowing that someones PC was interested in X, I asked them if their PC would like to talk about working together. The thing is, I have no way of ICly knowing their POC is interested in X, and it is very unlikely it'd ever have come out in conversation with me ICly. Thus I have broken the 'invisible wall' of IC and OOC knowledge (something I don't believe I ever did before) in order to try and give myself a more satisfying game.

Cheese rating frmo 1-10, please. I don't know how bad this is in the eyes of the general public.

Well, it *is* somehting that my PC is interested in, because it's something that hopefulyl will incvrease his standing in the Camarilla, which is somehting he wants to achieve.

I may die doing it, as well, so risk is positive.

And the subject has come up in conversation; the thing was - without an OOC nudge it never would ahve, but after it did, the other PC in question was delighted to ahve someone with similar goals to work with.

It's a difficult one, and it's not something I'd normally do - in fact, I always draw an aggressive line between IC & OOC, as I feel that I ought to set an example to all the people who don't - but should I draw that line at the expense of enjoying the game? That's the difficult question, and I don't know - even if I can./should blur it occasionally, where is the line drawn? if I acknowledge one degree of blurring, who am I to criticise someone who acknowledges another degree of blurring? it renders me incapable of criticising anyone else, possibly ever. It wasn't a decision lightly taken, believe me.
