The interesting thing about this is not only that it's a weblog from someone living in Baghdad, which gives another side to the current war stories, but also because this particular weblog has gone from Blogspot - meaning that it's been removed from the server (thanks to Google for archiving things as it surfs looking for sites).
Now, Blogspot is a US server, so I wonder if this means that US servers are editing content, if they have been required to do so, or if this particular blog was stored on a local (Iraqi) server which has been removed, shut down, or destroyed.
Update
The site is now back up and running again

Ride in on the beam ... and kablooee!
These are bad times friends, bad times.
Bet UPDATE
Was it 10 quid or 20? Also, since the war has now officially begun on 19 March, do you win or I?
I seem to remember it was the first quarter of the year or somesuch timeframe.
If I've won, please donate the proceeds to a rebuild Iraq charity. If you've won, please let me know where I can send the cheque.
Re: Bet UPDATE
Date: 2003-03-21 01:44 am (UTC)Still, the bet criteria was double or quits on the previous £5, meaning that if I'd won yo'd owe me £10, and if I'd lost you'd owe me nothing, so you indeed owe me nothing (the cut off date was April 7th, IIRC)
Still, this'll teach me to quit when I'm ahead, and at least I have the moderate conciliation of having been right for 9 months...
