If it's really an issue, you could make all your posts Friends Only, or buy a rename token (about $15 IIRC)

Renaming won't work as it will get redirected. You'd have to create a new account.
Try going to cbvampst and see what happens (I renamed quite a while ago).

There are two options with the rename token - my old LJ username doesn't redirect interior_lulu, but all the old entries are visible under this new username.
