I think it's fair to say that most people have a mental image of a clan that when it is mentioned, a certain character will instantly jump to mind as being the defining member of that clan for them.

Ventrue: Vladimir Romanov (Romanov, Magistrov, people should have more imagination with their 'ov' names. Tim Clancys former US clan head, and the best damn Ventrue I've ever seen, anyway).

Nos: Earwig (but only when he's wearing his mask!)
Brujah: Colonel Maxim
Gangrel: Malcrus - or possibly (never played, but genius) Old Uncle Cthulhu.
Malkavian: Justicar Romulas Argentus
Lasombra: Cardinal Vincenzi

Ventrue - no idea. Never seen one I could believe in. Except maybe Monty's short lived one, whose name I again can't remember.

Eeek! Sorry, brain is not working tonight. However, KMdoesn't scream "Clan of Kings" to me - I imagine someone a lot more like (to stick in my current headspace) one of the Malfoys - unbearably stuck up & superior, insulting all thinbloods & lower classes / clans. Personal taste, I think, not intentional insults. Sorry!

Katerina certainly acts as though she's superior to everyone around her. Maybe she's not quite archetypal Ventrue though - a leader through force of will rather than force of personality.

Gangrel: Malcrus, Lucas Reilly, Devon Shayde for standard gangrelness, Bridget o'connor for feral attitude.

Malkavian: Legion, or any of porl spoors scarey malks (Romulus, Luke/Gabriel etc)

Giovanni: your good self as Leo or any of that era of Giovanni

Caitiff: well I'm not voting for myself.. so Sheon

sabbat types.. seriously I liked the old sabbat antagonists like Raven and the bitch, but from the current crop I'd have to go for whatever Ginnie's Tzimisce is called (the whole look is just scarey) and Mendez (when she first appeared now she seems crap) for lasombra.

Gangrel: Hmmm. Carlotta, I guess. Not a 'typical' gangrel, precisely, but a character that nonetheless embodied the essence of Gangrelness.
Tremere: Dr. Crowley. Trust the Tremere, the Tremere are your friends.
Brujah: Malcom will always embody the psychotic loony side of Brujahness for me.
Caitiff: Caitiff don't really stand out at all, do they?

Setites: de Cruyce - evil in an incredibly likeable and subtle way and he just kept getting away with stuff - that's a Setite for me.
Lasombra: can't think of one

Thanks, I played as the power behind the throne, got a Prince killed and one put in place. Thanks to Maxim and Kellerman :o) The Nazi, the Communist and the Papal Legate. We made quite a team!

by the way, the dear departed Cardinal was a Real Lasombra. Not one of those "Sabbat Lasombra" types :o)
