According to US government statistics, every year 300,000 Americans die from obestity related causes, and treating obesity-related illnesses now costs the US 2.5% of it's Gross Domestic Product.

When I look at these figures, all that it makes me think is that Ronald McDonald kills more Americans and costs the US economy more than Osama bin Laden managed on September 11th every ten days , but I don't notice them sending a platoon of marines after him.
And also that if Osama really wanted to kill Americans, he should have just used his vast furtune to buy a controlling stake in the McDonalds corporation and increase their serving sizes. He'd kill tens of thousands every year and cost them a fortune, and they'd be thanking him for it.

Well, the other option would've been for him to spend a couple of hundred million on irrigation in Afghanistahn, subsidise the farmers to grow tobacco, and create a rival to Phillip Morris or BAT.
not only would he have been lauded as a nobel prize worthy gent who rebuilt the country after the soviet withdrawal, but he'd have made millions, and given thousands lung cancer each year...

"Have a Lucky Strike, how about a Marlboro?"
"No, I'll have a Jihyad, the smoke of a real american... "

I can imagine it clearly.
