Against all my better judgement, I appear to have heroic instincts. I would much rather have cowardly, or even better, sensible instincts.

^{*Someone got put in hospital by a gang of townies. Upon hearing about this, I promptly went charging off to confront them. The sensible thing to do would have been to grab a camera phone and try to get pictures of them, but I didn't think of this until the adrenaline wore off about 20 minutes later when the stupidity of dashing off towards a gang who'd already decked one person occurred to me.}

Whenever there's police activity (arrest, etc) in a public place in London there's immediately a forest of camera phones. This is I think more the primal instinct to get your very own shakycam video clip on telly.

Mine haven't either and I _always_ carry a camera with me (I don't own a camera phone so I have to carry either Bert's old Olympus or my own Canon SLR).

I think I would defend myself if I was directly attacked and I think that I would intervene to defend children (my own especially). Other than that my instinct is to get someone to defend me (my instincts aren't stupid - they know I am small and not very hard)

Apparently my brother used to hit me and I didn't fight back. My parents were so concerned about how passive I was that they sent me to Judo lessons.
When I was robbed at knife point I just burst into tears and was shaking, I don't know what would have happened if he had gone for me though, maybe I'd have snapped out of it and actually tried to defend myself at that point.

I dunno, admittedly the make up and pvc doesn't look very butch but I reckon a fair few of them were probably a lot harder than they looked...and that Lee, he was hard as nails he was.
