The Labour Party Conference

You might have noticed that the labour Party have recently gathered in a half-empty hall in Brighton to pretend that they stand a chance in the next election. As the event proceded, one soundbite was constantly on the news, especially when anyone asked if Gordon Brown would be quitting.
"Oh, no," They said. "Gordon is a fighter."
Several people, including Peter Mandelson, Sarah Brown and Ed Milliband have said it. "Gordon is a fighter."

The thing is, whenever I've heard it, I've always thought the same thing. Of course he's a bloody fighter. He was hardly going to be a wizard or a cleric with stats that low, was he?

I'm so glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read that!

Ah fighter, the dump class of AD&D.

Rogue all the way!

He's got some pretty good feats, though. Double specialisation in Fax Machine (thrown) racks up some pretty neat criticals.

Nah, one eye means a -7 to dexterity.
As it is he kills things and takes their money - you know, Railtrack, The DLR, The armed forces...

Sorceror & Bard right out. Personally, I blame the DM who made him play those stats. I mean, nothing over an 8: What are the odds.

[identity profile] davywavy.livejournal.com 2009-09-30 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know, I reckon he's got a pretty big Con.

Oh, hang on, that's just his policies.

Barbarian.

Rage gets his str up to 12, and it explains his fiscal illiteracy.

After some thort, it's clear that Broon is the sort of character we made you play when you were 11, and you've never forgiven us - "Yes David, we all rolled our stats with 2d4 and you must too!"

However, which member of the cabinet is the GM's girlfreind playing?

Question is, Intelligence or Wisdom as the dump stat.... or is it both?

[identity profile] davywavy.livejournal.com 2009-09-30 09:39 am (UTC)(link)
Gordon Brown
Fighter, Level 3.
Initiative: None.
Speed: 20 (waddling).
Reach: Further than his grasp.
AC: 25, due to excessively thick skin.
Attacks: Great clunking fist +0 (never known to have scored a hit)
Feats: Specialisation (Fax Machine) (Thrown)
Immunities: Criticism
Weaknesses: "Noisy and messy" (Those fax machines make a hell of a bang, and there's lots of tidying up to do afterwards)

[identity profile] fried-chicken.livejournal.com 2009-09-30 10:44 am (UTC)(link)
Lol, obviously level 3 as he's got a surname

[identity profile] davywavy.livejournal.com 2009-09-30 10:48 am (UTC)(link)
He needs a suffix, really. How about "Economybane"?

(Anonymous) 2009-10-01 09:54 am (UTC)(link)
the Orc.

(Anonymous) 2009-10-03 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
He could be a priest of Grumsh. Hence the one eye. Actually, it explains a lot. Apart from how you can actually *see* him failing his will save when Mandelson talks to him, and orcs aren't meant to like puffs.
