I think I've mentioned my time at university before now - I took one of those dossy social-science degrees which had five hours of lectures a week, and spent most of my time in the cheesy rock clubs and fleshpots of Manchester. The net result of this, I later realised, was that I undoubtedly spent more time playing air guitar at university than I did actually being educated. I remain pleased with this.

Anyway; it's a cold and depressing December day, so here's a question to remind you of the good times. What's your "wasted youth" story? What did you do when you were younger that, really, you could have spent the time doing something much more productive, but which you remain inordinately pleased about?*

*The Cam doesn't count. Nobody should be proud of that.

I dropped further maths A level, weeks before the exam, to do an art project instead of revision and make hours of painted procrastination into an A level instead.

... that's actually pretty weak. I don't think I've wasted enough of my youth! :) Or rather I don't see much of my time as wasted, as learning the guitar instead of working ... Not doing supervision work but having a life instead and passing anyway.... well maybe they count.... Not time wasted though :)
