davywavySETI@Home is the screensaver that uses your run-time when you aren't using your computer to analyse radio emissions from outer space in the quest for alien intelligence. This system has racked up almost a million computer-years of analysis since it was started; one of the ways that the SETI operators have used to convince people to run this nifty bit of software is to make the offer that, if a transmission from an alien civilisation is identified on your computer, they'll let you name the aliens.
So, that begs the question: If you discovered an alien civilisation, what would you call them?
