manipulative
You've got a decent enough understanding of how people work, and you aren't (unlike me) afraid to use it to acheive your ends. Personally, I tend not to think of this as a bad thing in and of itself - it depends on your ends!

vain
You give the impression of being very....impressed with yourself. Now, I don't entirely know how true that is, but I'd still apply this to you.

That's about it. I thought about "deceptive" but realised it was probably inaccurate.

A friend's question? Blimey {blinks}.

I'd say they depend on who you're with, or talking about, or similar. The ones I could answer definitively are:

thoughtless - only sometimes, never intentionally.
cruel, shallow, deceptive, two-faced - no. Not at all.
amoral - depends on your definition. You aren't according to mine.

The othes, I usually agree with why you're being, for example, vain - someone could acuse you of that for saying Diablerie on the Orient Expres is fantastically brilliant, but I'd say that doesn't count because it's justified.

And you missed out "lovely". Which you are :p

You missed raises finger to lip "evil".

About the only one I'd think could apply would be vain, but only on a purely superficial level until one understands the God who is DW properly.

All of them could apply at various points in time, but then that's true of probably 99.9% of the population (Dalai Lama excepted). Why do you ask?

I keep trying to respond to this post and realising that I can't both be vague enough for my own liking and specific enough to give a meaningful answer. Can I beg off the question and simply state that you are Dave Wade, and I adore you for it?

I could go thgrough each and every one and detail the extent to which I feel you are reflected in those terms but I'm not sure there would be a whole lot of point. You know yourself well enough and for potential character assasinations like this I doubt I have the deftness of language to get across my exact thoughs as I see them. This could lead to quite severe misunderstandings and inadvertant insults. I'd rather not do that.

Hmmm...

Mean - In what sense? Monetarily? No. Other ways, perhaps.
Thoughtless - No, if anything overly analytical and incapable of processing the emotional portion of any issue.
Cruel - Yes.
Manipulative - Certainly. Your biggest failing IMO.
Greedy - No.
Shallow - You are educated and can quote things and reference things until the cows come home, but it doesn't feel convincing, so I'd say yes, Shallow with a veneer of depth, if that makes sense. (Which it doesn't).
Deceptive - Absolutely. I don't think you're even honest with yourself.
Self Involved - No, just introspective.
Moody - No.
Arrogant - Very much so.
Amoral - Absolutely.
Judgemental - A couple of tiers below me, but yes.
A user - Yes, whatever you need to get something done.
Stubborn - Yes, but this is actually a good thing.
Two faced - Yep, see 'user'.
Grasping - No.
Difficult - Not unless your goal and someone elses differ significantly.
Vain - Only in so much as it goes along with arrogant.
