Things not to say at luggage checkin, part 1

Man behind counter: "Is there anything sharp in your luggage?"
Me: "No, my gun is quite blunt."

Jenny said you were complaining about not getting comments, so here is one.

Is it true.....

.....that body cavity searches are actually quite uncomfortable?

I couldn't possibly comment.

But do you have a soft cushion I could borrow?

Customs guard: "what's in that parcel?"
Me: "A knife."
CG: "oh, okay then."

Oh well... :P

Me on phone to customs guard in Edinburgh Airport: "Hi, I've just come off the plane and have a rapier, a hand and a half sword and a replica firearm. Wanna come and look at them?"

Customs Guard: "Is it a real gun or a replica?"

Me: "Replica"

Custom Guard: "Naaah, it's OK then. On you go"

Customs

A friend of mine was requested to sign the anti-terrorism act for bringing a bullwhip and a halbird into Heathrow! Cleary we should be expecting more assasination attempts with medieval pole weapons in the future.

Well, at least half of the space-borne Sci-Fi involves medieval weaponry ... perhaps our atmosphere is but the first step! :)
